Argos says this year will see the retailer’s biggest Black Friday sale ever. I’ve been monitoring it since it launched several days ago, and these are some of the standout deals I’ve seen so far. There’s £150 off a Dyson fan heater (Was £700, now £550, Argos.co.uk), and you can nab a Tefal air fryer with £80 off the price (Was £200, now £119, Argos.co.uk).

Whether you’ve been holding off to buy a new iPhone, an iPad or a pair of Apple earbuds or headphones, Black Friday is your next best chance to save some cash. There’s a £20 saving to be had on Apple’s third-generation AirPods at Amazon. In our review, our tester said the “improved audio is noticeable, especially with spatial audio and the new shape”. The AirPods Pro are better sounding, thanks to active noise cancelling but if that’s not a feature you need – perhaps you live a monastic life alone in the woods – this is a great deal on the basic pair.

“Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold6 runs on the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and uses a 1.6x larger vapour chamber for improved performance during demanding tasks like gaming”, Steve said, in his review. “Screen dimensions have been refined ever so slightly to make this year’s Fold shorter and wider”, he added. As for AI highlights, one of those he noted was the Sketch to Image, which is new for this year, which “lets you doodle on your photos and have your drawing appear as a photorealistic edit.”

When it comes to keeping cosy on cold winter evenings, blanket hoodies can be real game changers. One of the biggest names in the business, and the OG blanket hoodie brand, Oodie is treating shoppers to a Black Friday discount of 50 per cent off right now, so, if you’ve been thinking about buying one for yourself, now’s the time to invest.

If your vacuum has given up the ghost, Shark is a brand that needs to be on your radar. Having tested myriad models, our reviewer dubbed the cordless clean and empty as their favourite Shark vacuum overall, and it’s on sale right now.

If an electric toothbrush deal seems too incredible to be true, it might just be. You’ll see huge discounts of 50 per cent or more, but those savings come and go throughout the year, so, they aren’t always the impressive one-off bargains they seem to be. We rated the Oral-B Pro 3 the best electric toothbrush in our round-up, thanks to its low price and effective cleaning power. The brush is noisier than the premium iO range but cleans just as well, according to our tester. “This budget-friendly electric toothbrush might lack the bells and whistles of its pricier iO siblings, but the oscillating head still delivers a reliably thorough clean.”

Black Friday falls the day after Thanksgiving in the US, so, it’ll kick off on Friday 29 November this year, running through to Cyber Monday, which will fall on 2 December this year. Although the sale hasn’t technically started yet, you wouldn’t know it, thanks to the flurry of major retailers already dropping their Black Friday deals (John Lewis, Currys, Argos, we’re looking at you).
