Apple unveiled the iPad Mini 7 in India and other global markets recently. Now, the Cupertino-based company is reportedly looking to update the entry-level iPad. But that may happen in early 2025. According to a Bloomberg report, the 11th generation Apple iPad may release in the US spring (March-May) next year. It is likely the same time when Apple may bring the new iPad Air and the expected iPhone SE 4.

As per online reports, the 11th generation iPad may come with the same design as the 10th generation. Although the processor is not known yet, the upcoming Apple iPad is expected to be faster than its predecessor.
Why Apple may have skipped iPad 11 this year
The current base iPad is over 2 years old. To recall, Apple unveiled the 10th generation iPad in November 2022. It comes powered by A14 Bionic chipset and boasts of a 10.9-inch LCD screen. Apple generally has a launch cycle of two years for iPads which means a new iPad refresh is due this year.
Going by history, the iPad 11th generation should come equipped with the A16 chip, which is not compatible with Apple Intelligence. But, Apple probably doesn’t want to ship a new product without Apple Intelligence and thus the skip.

Meanwhile, the latest iPad mini 7 tablet is now available in India. Apple iPad mini 7 houses an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and is powered by Apple’s own A17 Pro chipset. The tablet comes with support for Apple Pencil Pro and runs iPadOS 18.
Its price starts at Rs 49,900 and Rs 64,900 for the Wi-Fi and cellular models, respectively. It comes in four colours, including new blue and purple options. Customers can purchase the Apple iPad mini 7 from Apple.in and other authorised online and offline channels.
