Today’s featured M3 MacBook Pro setup comes from a user who packs not one, not two but three Mac Pro desktop computers (you know, the famously powerful and expensive ones). He uses a “trash can” Mac Pro regularly, but he’s not sure what he’ll do with the other two that he acquired recently for his Mac Pro collection, other than work on them. In the meantime, he’s got his Apple laptop, but his work makes him deal with a PC laptop most of the time, he said.

M3 MacBook Pro user also enjoys a Mac Pro collection
Redditor jefrich19 (“Jeff”) showcased the Mac Pro-heavy setup in a post entitled, “Just refreshed my setup!” When he’s not on a PC laptop for work or using his trash-can Mac Pro, he’s using an M3 MacBook Pro by itself or in tandem with a 35-inch LG ultra-wide external monitor. He said he nabbed the display for about $200 in a Costco sale.
“I’m still working on the cable management LOL,” he mentioned on his post. His workspace is not exactly pristine.
“Hack build?” a commenter asked about the Mac Pro parade.
“The classic Mac Pros are a new addition,” Jeff replied. “Haven’t really decided what to do with them yet. The left is a 5,1 dual CPU, the right is a 4,1 but it has a bad PSU that I need to replace. I more so like to refurb old apple hardware as a hobby.”
“There’s a Trashcan Mac Pro in the right corner over there that I use as a daily when I’m not using my M3 MBP,” he added. “Forced to use Windows for work.”
