YEAH, THIS BEGINS TOMORROW AT THE SOUTH MOUNTAIN FAIRGROUNDS RIGHT NEAR HANCEVILLE. IT’S A TRADITION FOR SO MANY. YEAH, YEAH. AND NEWS EIGHT’S ED WEINSTOCK IS THERE. AND, ED, HOW MANY APPLES HAVE YOU GOBBLED UP SO FAR? OH, THIS IS GOING TO BE MY. I’M A SWALLOW. THIRD APPLE OF THE DAY. JUST GIVE ME A MOMENT. YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY. AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS. WELL, YOU KNOW HOW THAT GOES. SO AFTER EATING THREE APPLES, I SHOULD BE SUPER HEALTHY. I CAN ALSO TELL YOU THAT THIS APPLE WAS GROWN IN ADAMS COUNTY AND. BUT HERE YOU CAN GET NOT JUST APPLES LIKE THIS ONE. YOU CAN GET ALL TYPES OF APPLE PRODUCTS. MORE THAN 200 VENDORS ARE HERE FOR THIS EVENT. Thousands of people are expected to turn out this weekend for the national Apple Harvest Festival in Adams County. It is the 60th year of the event, which is held at the South Mountain Fairgrounds. Apples are the core product, but they come in multiple forms, from apple pizza to apple sausage to candy apples. There is also apple cider — the traditional kind — and hard cider. The festival runs through Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. It will also be held the following weekend. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Adams County community. There is a $10 admissions charge.
