If you have any of Google’s Pixel Buds, it’s finally easier to control them when they’re connected to your computer. However, you do need to use a Chrome-based web browser.
Chrome-based browsers include Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and a few others. The main outliers here are Firefox and Safari.
That said, you can save the website as a progressive web app (PWA) if you want to pin it to your dock/taskbar for quick access. Once you have your buds paired with your computer and the app is open, you can use it much like the Pixel Buds app on Android to control active noise cancellation, transparency mode, conversation detection and more. This also includes equalizer controls so you can tweak your EQ if you’re using them to watch a movie instead of listening to, say, classical music.
If you have Pixel Buds and you don’t have an Android device, you can also update them to the latest firmware in the web app. Another cool feature lets you use a single bud in mono mode or shift the volume so it mostly plays out of one bud if you have better or worse hearing in one ear.
