While we did see some solid $250 price drops on the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air models as well as the entry-level variants as low as $850, B&H is back again today with its particularly notable offer on a configuration you can’t get from Amazon. The 13-inch M3 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and the 256GB SSD is down at $1,099 shipped. This is a regularly $1,299 configuration that is now $200 off the going rate to deliver the lowest price we can find anywhere on Apple’s latest MacBook Air with a 16GB of RAM. Amazon has brought back the $899 price tag on the 8GB model, coming within $50 of the all-time low, but folks love that 16GB upgrade and B&H has the best price around.
For comparison’s sake, the lowest price you’ll find for a M3 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM on Amazon is the 512GB model down at $1,299. Coming within $50 of the all-time low, scoring this this regularly $1,499 configuration at $200 is still a solid price, but if you’re looking for the lowest possible point of entry with the upgraded RAM, our feature deal here today is where it’s at.
And for the record, the B&H configuration, despite the fact that you can’t score it at Amazon, is indeed an official one you can buy straight from Apple at $1,299.
As of right now, with Apple’s M4 Mac event quickly approaching – it will mostly likely take place by the end of October, the M3 MacBook Air remains the safest purchase in the current lineup. By that I mean, if you’re the type to prefer avoiding the machines that are about to get upgraded, just about every Mac in the current lineup is expected to see a 2024 bump, outside of the M3 MacBook Air. Most reports suggest these machines won’t see a refresh until spring 2025 at this point – we literally just bought one ourselves.
