And that’s about it. Your stolen Android phone will be locked with the existing lock screen PIN or password. If your phone doesn’t have one set, you’ll be prompted to create one. Disable a Stolen Samsung Phone Using SmartThings Find

If you need to disable a stolen Galaxy phone and are unable to access Google’s Find My Device, you can also use Samsung’s SmartThings Find. Keep in mind that this method will only work if your lost Galaxy phone is signed in to a Samsung account. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Open a web browser on your phone or computer and visit the SmartThings Find page.
2. Sign in with the same Samsung account that you used on the stolen phone.
3. Select the stolen phone from the My devices list.
4. Click the Lost mode option.
5. Click Turn on to continue.
6. Create a 4-8 digit PIN to use when you find the phone.
7. Optionally, you can enter a phone number and a message that displays on your phone’s lock screen.
8. Click Turn on to confirm.

Once you enable Lost Mode, your Samsung phone will be locked with the code, and all your personal information and saved payment cards will be secured.
