Ngày hôm nay, có tin cho biết Apple Inc. đang có kế hoạch tăng sản xuất tại Ấn Độ lên hơn 5 lần trong vòng 5 năm tới, với mục tiêu đạt 40 tỷ đô la. Theo thông tin của PTI, nguồn tin chính thức chưa được tiết lộ. Trong năm tài chính vừa qua, công ty đã đạt doanh thu sản xuất hơn 7 tỷ đô la tại Ấn Độ. Hiện tại, Apple chưa có phản hồi về câu hỏi qua email trong ngoài giờ làm việc.
Theo PTI cho biết, Apple hiện đã sản xuất iPhone tại Ấn Độ và có dự định bắt đầu sản xuất AirPods vào năm sau. Đáng chú ý, trong tháng này, hãng điện thoại đến từ Cupertino đã chính thức bán ra phiên bản iPhone 15 được sản xuất tại Ấn Độ ngay vào ngày ra mắt toàn cầu.
Trong khi đó, Ấn Độ đang dự kiến mở rộng ngành công nghiệp điện tử của mình lên 300 tỷ đô la vào năm 2026 nhờ sự gia tăng sản xuất điện thoại thông minh và sự đẩy mạnh toàn cầu để giảm rủi ro cho chuỗi cung ứng tại Trung Quốc. Đại diện Bộ trưởng kỹ thuật của Ấn Độ, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, trước đó trong cuộc phỏng vấn trên Bloomberg TV đã chia sẻ thông tin này.

Apple Inc. plans to increase production in India more than fivefold within the next five years, PTI reported, citing government officials it didn’t identify.
The company surpassed $7 billion production in the country in the last financial year and is aiming for $40 billion, the same official told PTI. Apple didn’t respond to an emailed query outside of office hours.
Apple manufactures iPhones in India and has plans to start making AirPods as well next year, the news wire said. In a first, the Cupertino-based phonemaker launched its India-made iPhone 15 this month on its global release day.
Meanwhile, the country is looking to expand its electronics industry to $300 billion by 2026 on the back of increased smartphone production and a global push to de-risk China based supply chains, India’s junior minister for technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, told Bloomberg TV earlier this month.
