State inspectors say they’ve found 13 violations at the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center. Among the violations was the discovery of children being held in isolation for longer periods of time than allowed.
In some cases, children were kept in isolation for disciplinary reasons for up to five days when the maximum allowed is 48 hours. Inspectors also criticized the juvenile center for missing documents and faulty record keeping.
