It’s been a slower couple of weeks on the telecom news front, but there were a few notable stories this week. Here’s what you need to know in Canadian telecom:

Pricing and deals

Koodo is increasing prices for some customers and blocking them from changing plans until after it applies the rate change.

Telus confirmed it raised prices on some legacy plans in September.

Rogers raised prices for a “small percentage” of customers by up to $5/mo starting on their October bills.

Public Mobile added Canada/U.S. calling, texting and data to $30 and $35 plans.

Quebecor continues pursuing Corus acquisition, urges lenders to discount debt.

Reports indicate Bell might lay off hundreds of Expertech employees ahead of the holidays.
