Hôm nay, Foxconn công bố rằng công ty con Fukang Technology sẽ sản xuất Macbook và iPad tại Việt Nam với tổng vốn đầu tư 12.5 triệu đồng ($508 triệu). Dự án này tọa lạc tại Khu công nghiệp Quang Chau, tỉnh Bắc Giang, đã nhận được giấy phép đầu tư đầu tiên vào tháng 1 năm 2021. Fukang Technology định lắp đặt thêm thiết bị và cập nhật giấy phép để đáp ứng yêu cầu bảo vệ môi trường của Apple.
Dự án này có năng suất hàng năm là 16.1 triệu máy tính bảng và laptop. Cùng với các sản phẩm khác như bộ định tuyến không dây wi-fi, bộ định tuyến và loa, năng suất hàng năm của dự án sẽ là 28.5 triệu sản phẩm.
Trong tháng 6, Brand Cheng, CEO của Foxconn Industrial Internet, đã thông báo với Thủ tướng Việt Nam Phạm Minh Chính rằng công ty có khoảng 4 tỷ đô la đầu tư ở năm tỉnh thành Việt Nam, tạo việc làm cho 80,000 người.

Fukang Technology, under Foxconn, will manufacture Macbook and iPad in Vietnam with its existing investment worth VND12.5 trillion ($508 million).
The project, located in the Quang Chau Industrial Park, the northern province of Bac Giang, received its first investment certificate in January 2021. Fukang Technology is seeking to install more equipment and have its license updated to meet Apple’s environmental protection requirements.

The updates include the installation of four air treatment systems capable of processing 30,000 cubic meters a day for the tablet production line, and six others with the same capacity for the laptop production line.
The project has an annual output of 16.1 million tablets and laptops. As such, Fukang Technology is seeking approval for updates to the project’s initial phase of 4.5 million items a year.
In combination with other products such as wireless wi-fi routers, routers and loudspeakers, the project’s annual output will be 28.5 million items.

In June, Brand Cheng, CEO at Foxconn Industrial Internet, informed Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh that the Taiwan-headquartered firm had invested around $4 billion in five Vietnamese provinces, employing 80,000 people.
The company recorded a total operating income of $6.7 billion from its Vietnamese affiliates in 2023, according to its annual report.
One of the most recent investments Foxconn has made is an additional $551 million in Vietnam’s northern coastal province of Quang Ninh. A part of this investment is a $263.7 million project to manufacture Nintendo Switch gaming consoles.
